IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING 2025/2026 REGISTRATION
Capacity Limits & “Returning Team” Priority
In an effort to address the capacity challenges at our club and limit the number of byes in each league to maximize the curling experience for all, several steps are being taken this season:
- Capacity Limits
- 2025/2026 league registrations are limited to the greater of 1) the number of teams registered for the league last season, or 2) 28 teams for two-draw leagues and 15 teams for single-draw leagues
- Returning Team Priority
- Priority registration will be given to “returning teams”, defined as a team consisting of at least 3 players who each played in the league last season. For example, a team registering for 2025/2026 Men’s League must consist of at least 3 players who were regular registered players in 2024/2025 Men’s League. Players do not have to had played on the same team last season
- This is designed to limit the impact of these new policies on returning members
- Should capacity limits be met, teams will be accepted up to the maximum number on a first-come, first-serve basis based on the timestamp of the earliest team member registration
- Waitlist for Non-Returning Teams
- Non-Returning Teams may still register at this time, however they will be placed on a waitlist priority ordered based on the timestamp of the earliest team member’s registration
- If requested, refunds will be processed for waitlisted teams that do not ultimately get accepted into their league(s)
